UP Health System – Portage invites Board Certified Advanced Practice Providers to join our Emergency Medicine team in Hancock, MI, nestled in the heart of Michigan's stunning Upper Peninsula. NP/PA to be considered. 216 8-hour night shifts per year (Mon‑Fri, 1pm to 9pm) Join a collegial and supportive team of 5 employed ED physicians ACS‑verified Level III trauma center with an average annual census of around 10,000 patients Support Systems: ATLS certification ED physicians provide basic admin orders for hospitalists from 5pm to 7am Hospital EMR: Meditech Magic Digital radiology, point‑of‑care ultrasound, 24/7 on‑site CT, MRI available Mon‑Fri, 8am to 5pm Nurse triage process Telehealth psychiatrist assistance for psychiatric consultations 11 beds inclusive of 8 private rooms and 3 trauma bay beds Our compensation package can include: Competitive base salary plus worked relative value unit (wRVU) production bonus Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance Paid time off and retirement plan Comprehensive health and well‑being benefits Student loan repayment assistance Early‑commitment residency stipend Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and days Paid professional liability and malpractice coverage Marketing and practice growth assistance UP Health System Portage is a 36‑bed hospital located in Hancock; has served the Western Upper Peninsula since 1896.
