Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington invites applications for two (2) faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. The positions are full‑time academic appointments for a twelve‑month academic year, renewable at the rank of Assistant Professor for three years, and at higher ranks for indefinite appointments.

Applicants will receive a 12‑month appointment with paid time off equal to one month. Compensation will include a base salary commensurate with experience and rank, with the ranges provided for each rank and an incentive component through the UW Physicians practice plan. The base salary ranges are: Assistant Professor $27,917–$33,334 monthly ($335,004–$400,008 annually), Associate Professor $33,334–$41,667 monthly ($400,008–$500,004 annually), and Professor $35,834–$50,000 monthly ($430,008–$600,000 annually).

The successful candidate will serve primarily in a clinical role with protected time for scholarly activity. Clinical responsibilities will be determined by department needs, candidate interests, and Chair approval. The candidate will be expected to advance the department’s mission of clinical care, research, education, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The department is supported by a faculty mentorship program and collaborates with partner institutions including Fred Hutch Cancer Center, University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Harborview Medical Center, and VA Puget Sound.

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) with licensure in the state of Washington.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Radiation Oncology with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or foreign equivalent.
• For foreign graduates, successful completion of all three steps of the USMLE or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services is required to be eligible for H‑1B sponsorship.
