Job specification

- Performing age-specific assessments upon admission and continuously throughout patient care.


- Developing and updating individualized, interdisciplinary care plans in partnership with patients, families, and fellow providers.


- Accurately administering medications and treatments and documenting all actions via electronic systems (EPIC).


- Monitoring clinical progress and responding promptly to any changes in condition.


- Delivering care with compassion and professionalism, ensuring physical and emotional support at every stage of recovery.


- Using critical thinking and delegation to prioritize patient safety, efficient workflow, and positive outcomes.


Candidate requirements

• Diploma or associate degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or enrolment in a BSN program preferred.
• Active RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility to practice in Virginia with a multi-state compact RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider certification required; ACLS, PALS, and BCLS Instructor certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course certification required.
• Management experience in an emergency room setting required.
