Biology Teacher

Role Description This is an on-site, full-time role for a Biology Teacher located in Grand Island, NE. The Biology Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging science curricula aligned with state and district standards. Key responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, facilitating laboratory experiments, and fostering critical thinking skills. Additionally, the teacher will actively participate in collaborative planning, communicate effectively with students and parents, and contribute to the school community. Qualifications Strong knowledge and expertise in Biology, Life Sciences, and related educational content Skills in creating lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and developing assessments Ability to manage classroom dynamics and support a positive learning environment Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred Valid teaching certification for the state of Florida Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom #J-18808-Ljbffr Grand Island Public Schools
