Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.You will be the Project Engineer for Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control Operations Engineering team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑impact facilities projects that enable Lockheed Martin’s mission success.What You Will Be DoingAs the Project Engineer you will be responsible for driving the planning, execution, and delivery of facilities projects across the organization. Serving as the primary liaison among Facilities, Program Management, Production Management, and functional leadership, you will develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status artifacts to ensure timely project outcomes.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Project Planning & Schedulingo Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules o Maintain baseline schedules, track critical paths, and update forecasts in response to scope changes or risks.Cross Functional Coordinationo Partner with Facilities, Program Management, Production, and Engineering, teams to define requirements, milestones, and deliverables.o Facilitate regular coordination meetings, capture action items, and close loops on decisions.Stakeholder Communicationo Produce and distribute regular status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.Why Join UsYou are a results‑focused Project Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, from shop floor to executive leadership.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.Desired Skills2-3 years of project engineering or coordination experience on construction/facilities projects.Experience in a manufacturing environment for the aerospace or defense industry.Proficient with project scheduling tools (MS Project, or equivalent).Knowledge of capital project planning, construction coordination, and large-scale equipment integration.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Trained.Understanding or previous experience with SAPPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
