CNC Production Equipment Operator — Newport News, VA 23603

Picture your day beginning on the production floor in Newport News. You review the work order, reference the technical drawings, and bring a CNC and other production equipment online. As parts move through the process, you tune feeds and speeds, perform quick changeovers, and keep a close eye on gauges and readouts. When something sounds off, you diagnose the issue, make safe adjustments, and log the fix. Every component you release has met spec, every step you take puts safety first, and every shift ends with a tidy workstation and clear documentation.

• Run and oversee multiple machines to keep production flowing at peak efficiency.
• Conduct routine care on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical or process issues.
• Uphold safety procedures and sustain a clean, orderly work area.
• Verify part quality against drawings and specifications before sign‑off.
• Coordinate with teammates to hit daily output targets and deadlines.
• Record production data and promptly elevate concerns to your supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical coursework is a plus.
• Hands-on background operating production machinery (CNC experience preferred).
• Solid grasp of mechanical systems and how machines behave under load.
• Ability to interpret manuals, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Sharp attention to detail with strong troubleshooting instincts.
• Comfort working independently and collaborating within a crew.
• Flexibility to cover overtime when production demands it.
