The Assistant Cook supports kitchen operations by preparing food, maintaining quality and safety standards, assisting the culinary team, and providing excellent service to residents at our private restaurant for residents. The Assistant Cook collaborates with dining team to promote excellent food, food handler safety, and organizational goals while fostering a culture of malama, accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Prepare cold food items such as salads, fruits, vegetables, and sandwiches. Clean, rotate, and store food products properly. Support line cooks and coordinate meal production needs. Prepare meals that meet special dietary requirements. Monitor food quality, taste, and temperature standards. Maintain required food safety and sanitation documentation. Help train and orient new employees. Provide courteous service to residents and respond promptly to requests. Attend required training and assist with other duties as assigned. At least 6 months of prep cook experience or equivalent education/experience. Annual tuberculosis clearance required. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
