DEUTZ builds and supports advanced diesel, gas, and electric drives used in construction, agriculture, material handling, stationary power, commercial and rail vehicles, and more. We’re growing our field service force.

Your Impact

• Diagnose, repair, and commission DEUTZ and non-DEUTZ construction equipment at customer sites.
• Own the full cycle: plan methods, stage parts, perform safe inspections, and restore equipment to OEM standards.
• Document work orders and time accurately; use the DEUTZ ticketing system for approvals.
• Keep your service truck DOT compliant and spotless; return unused parts per DEUTZ guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle inventory to enable first-visit fixes and support local parts sales.
• Partner with the Service Supervisor, Parts, customers, new engine sales, and engineering/warranty teams.
• Follow all company policies, especially for travel and corporate card use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Travel & Structure

• Travel: 70–90% (domestic and international), driven by customer needs.
• Role type: Individual contributor (no supervisory responsibilities).

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED; valid driver’s license and insurable.
• Maintain active DOT medical card status.
• Computer savvy: Serdia, Serpic, Fieldaware, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• 2–5 years in construction equipment repair preferred.
• Training/certifications in heavy equipment or diesel engines preferred.

Technical Edge

• Strong diagnostics and repair of NG/CNG; exposure to Tier 3–4 emissions systems.
• Proven DEUTZ diesel engine know-how.
• Self-directed; qualified to operate a company-assigned service vehicle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with portable diagnostic tools and core computer functions.
• Owns personal tools; DEUTZ provides key specialty tools.

Capabilities

• Language: Read technical/safety documentation; write routine reports; speak effectively to customers or teams.
• Math: Perform arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, decimals; calculate rates/ratios/percentages ; interpret graphs.
• Reasoning: Tackle real-world problems with limited standardization; follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Environment & Physicality

• Work in shops and outdoors; frequent standing and walking; potential exposure to weather and loud noise.
• Daily: sustained concentration, sitting, standing, verbal communication, hearing, listening, vision, lifting, bending.
