Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Level 1 RN Psych ER to join our team in Rochester, NY. This travel nurse role focuses on providing exceptional psychiatric emergency care in a dynamic hospital setting. The successful candidate will work a weekend blocked, day/night rotational shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities of the Level 1 RN Psych ER

• Conduct intake assessments and gather case history through patient and relative interviews
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients
• Make nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options
• Consult with psychiatrists to design appropriate treatment plans
• Administer psychotropic drugs and document reactions
• Arrange further medical attention when needed
• Assist clients in understanding emotional disturbances and accepting treatment
• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Test for and treat pain
• Document patient information and follow physician's orders
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Keep accurate records of treatments, immunizations, and lab results
• Complete administrative assignments as needed
• Provide high-quality service and referrals as appropriate

Requirements of the Level 1 RN Psych ER

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Experience in Telemetry
• Minimum of 2 years experience
