The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support. Qualifications At least 1 year of recent acute care experience. BLS required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be required in some areas. NBRC certification. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods. Ability to lift 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds for patient transfers). Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Compensation Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
