Position: Sit Down Forklift Operator

Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. (Mon-Fri)

Payrate: $19.00/Hour

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Sit-Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts to support daily shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory operations. This position will also play a key role in an upcoming  facility transfer , assisting with the safe movement, staging, loading, unloading, and relocation of inventory, equipment, and materials from the current facility to the new location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, stage, and transfer materials throughout the warehouse.
• Support the  facility transfer by moving, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing inventory and materials for relocation to the new facility.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks while ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify product numbers, quantities, labels, and condition of materials.
• Stage and prepare outbound shipments according to shipping documentation and operational requirements.
• Retrieve and move merchandise from warehouse racking according to work orders, pick tickets, or system instructions.
• Put away received inventory and replenish warehouse locations as needed.
• Move inventory between storage, staging, shipping, and receiving areas.
• Build, wrap, secure, label, and stage pallets for shipment or facility transfer.
• Break down pallets, cartons, and packaging materials and maintain organized work areas.
• Perform floor-level warehouse responsibilities as needed, including picking, packing, labeling, shrink wrapping, staging, and material handling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating  sit-down forklifts in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving environment.
• Experience loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks.
• Strong experience with  shipping and receiving operations , including receiving, staging, labeling, shrink wrapping, loading, and unloading.
• Proven experience moving, staging, retrieving, replenishing, and putting away inventory.
• Experience operating electric pallet jacks and manual pump jacks.
• Ability to verify product numbers, quantities, labels, and warehouse locations accurately.
• Ability and willingness to assist with a  facility relocation/transfer , including staging and preparing inventory and materials for transport.
• Willingness to perform hands-on warehouse duties outside of forklift operation, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, palletizing, and general inventory tasks.
