Rehabilitation Specialist

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Services Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services consist of day programs and supportive living programs. Clients in our day programs have access to group activities, individual support, and mental health services. Clients in the supportive living program receive support in maintaining independent living and have access to the day program. What to expect This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients. Responsibilities Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization. Ensure medication compliance, which involves responsibility for safety, dosage, and cleanliness. Work as part of a collaborative service team to develop and implement individual service plans. Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments, advocating throughout the appointment and ensuring that all follow-up instructions are documented and followed through on. Ensure overall sanitation and meet Department of Health regulations, and ensure all CACFP documentation is completed accurately and timely. Assist in daily food operations and as-needed catering, helping ensure meals are attractive, nutritionally complete, appealing and delivered fresh and hot, and coordinate preparation and delivery of off-site meals. Help ensure food service documentation and licensing are accurate, complete and current; also ensure compliance with all Department of Labor and State laws, regulations, guidelines, and directives; participate in required food service trainings. Monitor accurate portion control and inventory control; negotiate food purchases and delivery, and assist in general inventory control for food services. Ensure overall sanitation and meet Department of Health regulations, and ensure all CACFP documentation is completed accurately and timely. Staff Training and Mentorship All direct care staff will be thoroughly trained to provide all services and should expect supportive and ever-present mentorship from senior staff members as they perform the requested duties. Ability to obtain additional certifications/trainings as may be required by certain programs (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Food Safety and Handling, and Crisis Intervention/Suicidal Protocol). Must possess direct knowledge of or be willing to learn and implement the CACFP program. High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required. A driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to an insured vehicle. Must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending upon need of the program. Pay rate for this position is $19.31 hourly.
