Your Evening in Metrology

Picture this: you start your shift at 5:00 PM, step onto the production floor, and open a new batch of precision components waiting to be verified. You move from blueprint to bench, confirming dimensions with calipers and height gages, then transition to the CMM to validate complex geometries—preferably through programs you craft in PC-DMIS. By 1:30 AM, parts are released with confidence because you ensured they met every specification.

• Inspect and measure manufactured components to confirm quality and dimensional accuracy
• Apply precision hand tools, including calipers, height gages, and other standard inspection instruments
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to drive inspection plans
• Execute dimensional inspections to validate conformance to requirements
• Program and/or operate Coordinate Measuring Machines, with PC-DMIS experience strongly preferred

• Shift: 2nd Shift – 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Duration: Approximately 6-month assignment with the potential to extend for the right person

• Hands-on CMM programming experience in PC-DMIS (highly preferred)
• Robust background in quality inspection and metrology
• Confident use of calipers and height gages with high accuracy
• Proven blueprint/engineering drawing literacy (required)
• Manufacturing or quality assurance exposure (preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
