Qualifications:
- 9 years of experience as a Postgres DBA in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL internals , configuration, and administration
- Experience with logical and physical replication , high availability , and failover strategies
- Skilled in database performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- MongoDB experience is a plus
- Experience in a financial services or regulated environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Knowledge of pgAdmin , Patroni , pgBouncer , pgBackRest , or similar Postgres tooling
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices , CI/CD tools, and version control systems
- Understanding of data security and auditing best practices
