Software Engineering Manager - Payments

As Engineering Manager for the Payments team, you will lead a talented group of engineers in building and scaling the infrastructure that powers Squarespace's payment ecosystem. You will be responsible for driving delivery against key company and department goals, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, and providing the technical leadership needed to push critical initiatives forward. Partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Design, and Operations, you will set the technical direction for your team while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on Squarespace's revenue growth and the experience of merchants around the world. You will report directly to the Engineering Director for the Financial Solutions Group. This position is a hybrid role located in our New York office. Work with experienced Product Manager and Design to create product strategies that impact hundreds of thousands of businesses and their customers. Work with world class managers and directors to shape the organization, processes and culture of our commerce platform. Mentor engineers to develop their skill and expertise in the world of software development and payments products. Who We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in the software industry 3+ years of experience launching payments products Experience developing and launching FinTech products and infrastructures. Experience coaching engineers with diverse specialties. In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
