Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment in critical care settings. They independently handle complex cases, educate patients and staff, and participate in procedures like intubation and pulmonary testing. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy, and collaboration with healthcare teams Manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases Educate patients, mentor new staff, and support staff development Promote safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to evidence-based practices Participate in quality improvement initiatives and procedural assistance Qualifications & Skills: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT or RCP 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals and patients Additional Information: The role requires independent decision-making, adherence to policies, and participation in professional development activities.
