RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies, making nursing decisions within the scope of licensure
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy per physician orders; monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care plans
• Assist with post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute care interventions; respond to emergencies as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health management
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EMR) and ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Idaho or an approved compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of hire
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Experience orienting or mentoring new nursing staff
