Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist physicians during Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
- Support structural heart, coronary, and peripheral interventions
- Assist with pacemaker and ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator) placements
- Prepare and maintain sterile field and procedural equipment
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and stability
- Operate Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems efficiently
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Respond effectively in emergency situations within the Cath Lab
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong Electrophysiology (EP) experience (REQUIRED)
- Prior travel experience (REQUIRED)
- ARRT certification (REQUIRED)
- BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Active Illinois State License (IEMA) (REQUIRED)
- Hands-on experience with pacemakers and ICDs
- Ability to scrub and assist in complex cardiac procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-pressure environments
