Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Ohio-licensed MDs for an OB hospitalist locum tenens role in Toledo, Ohio. This hospital-based practice involves managing low and high risk pregnancies, labor and delivery, and gynecological procedures within a Level IV labor and delivery unit and Level III nursery. The assignment includes varied shifts, including 24-hour and daytime coverage, supporting OB residents and collaborating with nursing staff in a teaching hospital environment.

Clinical Scope

• Hospital-based obstetrics covering low and high risk pregnancies
• Management of labor and delivery, including routine and complicated deliveries (C-sections, operative gynecological procedures)
• OB ultrasounds and fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE, Level I/II ultrasounds)
• Care of high-risk pregnancies with associated procedures
• Gynecological procedures including operative and office/minor procedures
• Support of OB residents and collaboration with midwives and nursing staff

Practice Environment
This opportunity is based within a hospital setting serving as a teaching facility with OB residents, nursing staff, and support personnel. The facility features a Level IV labor and delivery unit, a Level III nursery, and utilizes EPIC EMR. Onsite lab and ultrasound imaging are available, with 10 L&D beds and exam rooms.

Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license
• DEA registration
• MD degree (new graduate acceptable)
• Clinical certifications as required for obstetrics practice
