Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• AA completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Monument Health and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Monument Health.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers considered upon manager review with strong experience. Critical care and general respiratory care experience required.

Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility. Requested time off will not be accepted between 8/5/26-8/20/26. Up to 7 days of time off; must extend the contract if taking a full week off.

Unit Details: Highly progressive/acute respiratory care for adult critical care, pediatric critical care, neonatal critical care, and general inpatient respiratory care. Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that. Busy, fast-paced department. Uses Omnicell. Ventilators: Draeger V500 and Savina 300, 3100A Oscillator, Servo-I MRI, Hamilton C1. ResMed APAP, CPAP, Bi-level. Airvo2 high flow devices, Cough Assist, Incourage vest, ABL90 blood gas machines, IPV, Praxair iNO.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Call requirements dependent on facility/job requisition; generally not at Rapid City Hospital unless planned for events like the Rally. Work on holidays that fall within contract dates. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. 12/6 hr shifts. Shift options include rotating or straight nights.

Floating Requirements: RT coverage throughout the hospital and ED.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
