Job Title: Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Vestal, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 16 Weeks (With High Possibility of Extension)
Shift & Schedule: Evening / Night Shift Available | 40 Hours Weekly
Pay Rate:
Local: $1,600 - $1,700/Week
Travel: $1,850 - $1,950/Week (Based on Eligibility and Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Vestal, NY.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders.

• Perform medication passes and maintain medication administration records.

• Monitor, assess, and report changes in resident conditions to the healthcare team.

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies and standards of practice.

• Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

• Deliver compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other chronic conditions.

• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in resident care planning and ongoing evaluations.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse License required.

• BLS Certification required.

• Minimum one (1) year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required.

• Candidates with recent Rehab, Med-Surg, Skilled Nursing, or Hospital experience will also be considered.

• Must successfully pass a medication administration (Med Pass) test and clinical observation.

• Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality required.

• Ability to work effectively with geriatric and memory-care populations.

• No license hits permitted.

• Proof of active NY license must be provided at the time of submission.

• Experience performing medication administration and treatment management.

• Strong documentation and charting skills.

• Must be flexible with scheduling needs.

• Every other weekend availability required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for Alzheimer's and Dementia patient populations preferred.
