CNC Machinist

Kelly is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to support a high-precision, defense-focused manufacturing environment in Hampton, VA.

Location: Hampton, VA 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM Pay: up to $37.00-42.00/hr (dep on exp)

What You'll Do

Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and drill machines
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specs
Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
Perform precision measurements (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Inspect finished parts to ensure tight tolerance compliance
Adjust machine settings during production to optimize performance
Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, dimensions, machine errors)
Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safe operation
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines

What You Bring

5+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing
Strong understanding of machining processes and equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with precision measuring tools
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
