As a franchise location of Pet Supplies Plus, we will not only work with pets and fellow pet lovers, we will be an integral part of the community! Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet(s). This easy to navigate store will offer a wise assortment of natural foods, hard goods, and pet services. Friendly, knowledgeable staff get to know each pet and their owner by name and provide playful store experiences to remind them just how fun it is to own a pet! Pet Supplies Plus stores are large enough to house an incredible variety of food and equipment, yet small enough to still feel neighborly.

In addition to selling supplies for pet owners in the community, this location provides grooming and washing services to our guest's PAWsome pets!

Who are we hiring?

Are you ready for a dog-gone good time? We are on the search for a positive, motivated and pet-loving individual to join our team as the Pet Groomer! As the Groomer you will:

• perform various grooming services including baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth brushing, ensuring each pet's safety and comfort throughout the process.
• style pets according to owner requests or breed standards, using various grooming tools and techniques.
• provide exceptional service to pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• complete regular cleaning of the grooming area and grooming tools and equipment to ensure it is a clean, fun, and inviting area for pet owners and pets.
• ensure the wellness and safety of visiting pets at all times.
• assist with daily operations such as running cash register, unloading trucks, stocking shelves and cleaning.

What are we looking for?

For this position, individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older and having a passion for working with both animals and people!

High School diploma or GED is preferred with 1+ years of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.

We welcome an individual with previous pet store or retail experience, but are happy to train the best person for the job!

**Note, once hired, this individual will need to successfully complete the Safety, Bather/Brusher and Grooming Academy training certification. This certification will be paid for by the company.
