Maintenance General

The 2ndShift Facility Maintenance Technician (Contractor) provides general upkeep and basic repairs for plant and office facilities, primarily at the Chelmsford microelectronics manufacturing site, while also supporting additional buildings as needed. Working the M-TH 2nd shift (≈2:30pm-1am), this position handles routine facilities issues and basic equipment troubleshooting ranging from electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks. Follows work orders and or other general instructions, conducts inspections, logs completed work, and offers limited janitorial support (e.g., trash removal, floor cleaning) when workload permits or support is required. Qualified candidates possess a high school diploma/GED (trade certification or 1-2 years of handson maintenance experience preferred), can work independently and efficiently, demonstrate basic criticalthinking and problemsolving abilities, and are proficient with hand/power tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
