About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: 2 Years Required License: Active Compact License Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology experience. Ability to assist with Central Line Insertion/management. Experience in Blood Product Administration and Cardioversion. Proficient in obtaining 12 Lead EKGs. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Knowledge of hypothermia protocol and monitoring procedural sedation. Experience with sheath removal and monitoring. Description: Perm candidates are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. This position does not accept first-time travelers. Call requirements include one weekday and one weekend per month as a minimum requirement. Depending on staffing and vacation, hours can vary from 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, with additional days and weekends possible. Experience in Cardiac catheterization is essential. Skills required include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, and cooling/warming blanket application. Candidates should have experience with procedural skills like biopsies and stent placement. This role requires a strong candidate with the necessary skills and experience. References covering 1 year of experience are required. Modules are non-billable and completed prior to the start. Self-reporting is required for time spent on modules, and completion is recorded in transcripts.
