Field Service Technician

Reports To: Service Supervisor

Function: Perform field service operations including installation, startup, repair, preventative maintenance, and training services within assigned industry. Perform service at the customer site while promoting customer satisfaction and supporting strategic growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Participate in field service operations including installation, startup, repair, preventative maintenance, and training services within assigned industry to the satisfaction of customers.

Including but not limited to:

• Electro/Mechanical Assembly
• Complex tube bending
• Pipe threading and fitting
• Electrical and signal wiring interconnections

• Use established work instructions to provide installation, startup, repair and routine maintenance, calibrations, and verification services.
• Analyze problems, identify solutions, make corrections, and troubleshoot. Provide technical support for customers while on-site and while traveling. Confidently communicate problems and solutions to customers.
• Create service reports and deliver to customers on time per goals set forth by Service Manager.
• Work with service team, product support, and sales (inside & outside) staff to promote customer satisfaction.
• Utilize Hubspot CRM, Epicor and Microsoft Office to communicate, deliver reports to customers, manage individual schedules, track and update information, find contacts, etc.
• Communicate regularly with Contract Administrator, Service Supervisor and Service Managers to maintain schedule accuracy.
• Document details of activities. Submit prompt and accurate service and expense reports.
• Ensure correct safety procedures are being used.

Job Specifications:

1. Education & Experience:
   1. High school diploma or equivalent.
   2. One to three years' experience working in an electromechanical assembly or service-related field.

1. Skills & Knowledge:
   1. Strong electromechanical skills.
   2. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to run limited sample tubing and equipment mounting
   3. Ability to demonstrate proficiency with commonly used electronic test equipment
   4. Excellent customer service skills
   5. Able to read and understand Blueprints, schematics, P&ID, and isometric drawings to determine tie points and equipment mounting locations
   6. Strong troubleshooting skills

   1. Proven initiative and self-direction; positive attitude, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with customers, peers, and other departments.
   2. Excellent organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks and establish priorities.
   3. Flexibility and willingness to assist customers expediently.
   4. Valid driver's license with Motor Vehicle Records review that satisfies company policy.
   5. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on industrial catwalks and stairways.
   6. Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
   7. Ability to travel as required for up to approximately 60% per month.
   8. Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office.
   9. Must be willing to submit to random drug screening.
   10. Capable of working with powered and manual hand tools.
   11. Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
   12. Must be willing to follow established safety and operational procedures.
   13. TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card possession or eligibility may be required, based on assigned region.
   14. OSHA 30, OSHA 10, and MSHA may be required based on assigned region.
   15. Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
