Job Description:

FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES:

Under supervision, certify, recertify, review, update, and monitor family files to maintain eligibility of all program participants. This position requires an understanding of CDE Funding Terms and Conditions and the ability to apply Title 5 and corresponding regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Demonstrate familiarity with local, state, and federal government terms and regulations.
  2. Accurate data entry of family information.
  3. Superb customer service skills with outstanding competency with people of diverse backgrounds.
  4. A strong ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work effectively under strict deadlines.
  5. Ability to maintain accurate client records and organized files, with strong ability to document actions/statements concisely and objectively.
  6. Strong collaboration skills with co-workers, clients, child care providers, and community organizations.
  7. Able to work extended hours and attend in-house meetings with short notice.
  8. Focus on clients service needs, complete intake forms, create case files, maintain said files and case/contact notes.
  9. Assist client with special appointments, outside of the traditional work schedule.
  10. Is available as a contact for clients questions and concerns; receiving incoming calls for information and screes for eligibility for services.
  11. Acts as a liaison for clients, child care providers, and other social service agencies.
  12. Provides follow-up on missed appointments.
  13. Comfortable speaking to clients and care providers about program policies and procedures.
  14. Responsible for new and continuing certification of families and assistance in program operations.
  15. Ability to be sensitive and response to diversity.
  16. Creates and maintains computer database for assigned families.
  17. Provide specialized information about the program to parents, child care providers and the community.
  18. Provide the highest quality of service to clients, child care providers, and the community.
  19. Maintain a caseload of 250+ clients.
  20. Complete all processing of client files within 30-days or sooner from the date the client information is received.
  21. Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by Administrative Staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Regular and daily attendance.
  2. The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  3. Skill in typing and the ability to use standard office machines.
  4. Sufficient alphabetizing, reading, and computer skills to fulfill essential job functions.
  5. Time management and strong organizational skills.
  6. Must have adequate physical strength to frequently move and stack supplies.
  7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well both independently and under direction, and as a team.
  8. A courteous and pleasant person who is concerned about the families we serve.
  9. Fluent in English and able to effectively or clearly communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
  10. Computer skills required Microsoft Word.
  11. At least two years of experience with State subsidized programs or specific courses related to the social services field.
