Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology LTAC unit position requiring an active MA RN license and every other weekend/holiday coverage.

Details

• Work in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Oncology unit
• Care for patients requiring chemotherapy administration and diagnosis management
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work every other weekend
• Required to work assigned holidays
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start date via NURSYS and BON
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Patient care experience providing chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing care

Additional Information

• Responsible for administering medications and monitoring patients for reactions or side effects
• Maintain accurate patient records including vital signs and clinical status changes
• Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston, MA to be considered, with a reduced pay rate applying
