Details LDRP unit providing care for both mother and baby Low-volume unit with approximately 100 births per year, but higher acuity/high-risk cases 1:1-2 patient ratios 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, scheduling 36s or 48s Weekend requirements determined by department needs Required to float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary, and/or helping hands roles Charting systems used include Centricity and Meditech Magic Manager-based scheduling Requirements Active NC or compact RN license Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience, preferably in a low/moderate volume L&D department Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced), and BLS STABLE certification preferred Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills required Centricity charting experience preferred Strong, independent clinical skills required due to high autonomy needed in this small department Additional Information Provide labor and delivery nursing care with a focus on both maternal and newborn patients in a small, high-autonomy unit Navy blue scrubs required Weekly orientation schedule Must complete required pre-start and annual online learning modules Must complete lab testing within 48 hours of signing per crisis response compliance requirements First-time travelers welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 50 miles of the facility Former Novant Health or New Hanover PERM/PRN/EP employees must wait 12 months before applying and disclose prior employment details for facility approval Current travel per diem clinicians must choose between per diem or travel status Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved excluding holidays; no RTO during first week of assignment Must work 2 of 3 major holidays Travel pairs allowed if on different units with separate transportation and disclosed at submission American Traveler Job ID P-748705.
