We are looking for individuals who love great food, working with children and being a part of team.Summary of PositionAs an Assistant General Manager/Inventory Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of food and related supplies. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the units operate as efficiently as possible with the lowest stock requirements needed. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including front-line staff, vendors, and administrative personnel, to optimize inventory processes and facilitate timely supply orders.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in food service management operations. Preferably in an institutional management setting.High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Associates degree beneficial.Strong analytical mind with strong math skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Proficiency in using inventory management software, word processing and spreadsheet knowledge.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesInventory Management:Regularly monitor and update inventory levels for all food and supplies in storage locations.Conduct routine audits to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.Must build plans to utilize inventory.Food Ordering:Collaborate with front-line managers to forecast food and supply needs based on menu requirements.Place timely and accurate orders with approved vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels.Quality Control:Inspect received shipments to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.Address and report any issues with delivered items promptly.Work with vendors to resolve quality concerns and discrepancies.Data Analysis and Reporting:Generate and analyze reports related to inventory levels, consumption patterns, and cost trends.Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending improvements.Communication and Collaboration:Maintain effective communication channels with front-line staff and vendors.Collaborate with various departments to coordinate special events, promotions, or changes in menu offerings.Regulatory Compliance:Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines related to food safety and school nutrition programs.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing food service operations.Training and Support:Provide training and support to cafeteria staff on proper inventory management procedures.Help in implementing best practices to improve overall efficiency.Other functions, duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or which are necessary or appropriate to the position.Salary range: $52,000-56,000 per yearWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, Gender/Minority/Veterans/Disabled and participates with E-Verify Employment Eligibility Program
