Why Drive for Laidlaw?
Laidlaw has been providing exemplary service since 1957, and drivers are at the center of how the company operates. A hands-on approach to training, safety, and equipment care means drivers get the tools and support to do the job right, not just the job itself. If you're looking for a company that treats you like a professional and backs that up with steady pay and real home time, Laidlaw is worth a serious look.
Regional Driver Overview
- Pay that adds up week after week. Base pay starts at 67CPM on 2,200-2,800 miles per week, with top drivers earning up to $90,000+ per year* and average weekly earnings of $1,400-$1,800.*
- Get paid to get started. Earn a $3,000 sign-on bonus,* paid out in two installments as you settle into the role.
- Home time you can count on. Run a set weekly schedule, heading out Sunday or Monday and back by Thursday or Friday, with the potential to get home even more often depending on the week.
- Freight built for steady work. Haul bulk commodities like landscape stone, salt, lime, fertilizer, and grain in 40'; end dump trailers, running dedicated Michigan and Pennsylvania regional lanes, with paid border crossings on the routes that run into Ontario or Quebec.
- Modern trucks, real support. Drive Peterbilts and Western Stars with your choice of manual or automatic transmissions, plus layover, breakdown, and detention pay when the job calls for it.
Benefits & Perks
- Bonuses that add up. Earn a $1,000 referral bonus* for bringing on experienced drivers, plus safety bonuses available* for drivers who go the extra mile.
- Ride and roll your way. Free rider policy, plus EZ Pass and Pre-Pass coverage through BestPass.
- Credentials covered. TWIC and a passport or enhanced license are preferred and reimbursed if you do not have them.
- Time off that counts. Vacation pay included.
All pay and bonus amounts may vary by job type, location, experience level, and performance and are subject to change based on company discretion. Talk with a recruiter to confirm specific details.
