Curatorial Internship

Summary Curatorial interns will gain an international, national, and local perspective of traditional and contemporary Mexican and Latinx/a/o/e art through researching artists, helping with exhibition proposals, assisting with exhibition archives, writing for exhibition didactics, writing for various exhibitions and programs, and general departmental support. In Spring 2026, Mexic‑Arte Museum will prepare for projects such two fall exhibitions, the Curatorial intern will assist with the preparation of these exhibits (research, exhibit text, exhibit layout, other). Key Details Term: 10 weeks (June 17 – August 28, 2026) Schedule: 10 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 9 am-6 pm and Friday 9 am–5 pm). Deadline: June 5, 2026 Eligibility Requirements: Strong research and writing skills Skill in managing several projects simultaneously Skill in effective verbal communication Skill in with civic or community engagement Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a museum or gallery setting Bilingual (Spanish/English) Education: Enrolled as an undergraduate student in an Associate or Bachelor’s program for Art History, Studio Art, Museum studies, or a related field.
