Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C), Medical Dermatology

HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to expand a growing medical dermatology service within a mission-driven non-profit healthcare system. This outpatient clinic focuses on expanding access, continuity, and quality care for underserved populations, with providers practicing independently alongside an on-site primary care team. Rockingham offers a lower cost of living with proximity to Charlotte, Pinehurst, and the North Carolina coast.

Medical Dermatology NP / PA Responsibilities

• Full-time outpatient medical dermatology role
• Schedule options include 5x8s or 4x10s
• No call responsibility
• See approximately 25–30 patients per day
• Diagnose and treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, infections, and lesions
• Perform biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removals, and common derm procedures
• Manage follow-up visits (10–15 min) and new evaluations (~30 min)
• Work independently as the on-site dermatology provider
• Collaborate with PCPs and clinical staff as needed
• Document within cloud-based EMR system

Medical Dermatology NP / PA Requirements

• Active NP (FNP) or PA-C license (or ability to obtain in NC)
• 1+ year of provider-level medical dermatology experience preferred
• Experience must be as NP / PA, not RN, MA, or scribe
• Transitional / early dermatology providers will also be considered
• Comfortable managing patient volume independently
• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Medical Dermatology NP / PA Compensation

• $150K–$160K for experienced medical dermatology providers
• $115K+ for transitional / early dermatology providers
• $20 per encounter after 420 encounters/month
• Bonus paid monthly
• Threshold ~20 patients/day
• Estimated annual bonus potential:
• ~$25K+ at 25 patients/day
• ~$50K+ at 30 patients/day
• Additional upside for high-volume procedural providers
• NHSC Loan Repayment eligible (75K @ 2-years, tax free)
