Senior Test Engineer / Senior Consultant

Project Talent Model (PTM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, remote or onsite client service delivery.Work you’ll do/ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, you will perform test automation and quality engineering initiatives for a healthcare insurance enterprise. Scope covers functional, cross-browser UI, and backend/database validation across the SDLC, including batch processing flows and backend data validation. Objective is to establish scalable, maintainable automation coverage (Selenium/Playwright, Page Object Model) integrated into CI/CD to support reliable, repeatable release validation for a healthcare industry client's consumer-facing platform. Design and Execute Test StrategiesDevelop comprehensive test plans and automation strategy to assess application quality across functional, API, UI, and end-to-end flows.Design and implement test scenarios simulating real-world transaction health insurance use cases.Mentor team membersProvide guidance and support to QA engineers on automation framework design and best practices.Share best practices in test automation, backend validation, and troubleshooting.Collaboration with StakeholdersWork closely with developers, architects, and system administrators to identify functional and integration defects.Communicate test findings, release readiness, and go/no-go recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
