About the Job (Full or Part-Time eligible for signing bonus) MedStar Health Urgent Care Physician (MD – DO) – PA – NP, South (St. Mary's County) FULL, PART-TIME, or PRN (Full or Part-Time eligible for signing bonus) South Region (2 Waldorf locations, La Plata, Charlotte Hall, California) MedStar Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine physicians, physician assistants or nurse practitioners. Advanced Practice Providers work autonomously with supportive physician mentorship. Providers are assigned to a region but can set preferences for their preferred sites. Responsibilities include managing acute walk-in urgent cases and minor procedures such as suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, interpreting EKGs, and wet reading X-rays. The practice offers an on-site low-complexity lab for point-of-care testing, a full x-ray suite, and support staff. Clinics operate 12 hours daily with variable shift lengths. As part of the MedStar Health System, patients receive personalized care in community-based offices and access to the latest medical advances throughout the system. On-site teleconsultants in pediatric, emergency medicine, and cardiology are available for support. MedStar’s network of nine emergency departments and extensive primary care and specialty services provide continuity of care and quick referral management.
