Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Gallagher Asphalt
We've got the people, projects, equipment, events, and stories. Now we need someone who can bring them to life! We're looking for someone who is curious, creative, motivated, and ready to jump in. At Gallagher Asphalt, great content doesn't just show up in your inbox. You might find it on a jobsite, at one of our plants, in the shop, during an employee celebration, or in a conversation with someone who has spent their entire career here. We're looking for someone who wants to get out there, learn the business, build relationships, and find the moments worth sharing. As our Marketing & Communications Coordinator , you'll have the opportunity to put your creativity to work across the company. You'll manage social media and marketing content, create photos and videos, help keep our employees informed and connected, celebrate the people who make Gallagher what it is, and help create company events people look forward to. But we don't just want someone who can execute a list of assignments. We want your ideas. Bring us your creativity, your curiosity, and your willingness to try something new. We'll give you the opportunity to learn our business, take ownership, build your skills, and grow with us. What You'll Get to Do Tell our story. Create content that shows people what Gallagher is actually like; from major projects and equipment to employee stories, community involvement, safety initiatives, recruiting, and the everyday moments that make good content. Own our social media presence. Help plan, create, schedule, and publish content across our social channels. You'll gather photos and video, write posts, engage with our community, monitor what's working, and bring forward ideas for how we can do it better. Get out where the action is. Construction doesn't happen behind a desk, and neither should all of our marketing. You'll spend time with our office, field, plant, and shop teams learning what they do, building relationships, taking photos and video, asking questions, and finding stories worth sharing. Create content people actually want to see. You'll work on employee spotlights, project stories, company videos, graphics, website content, recruiting materials, presentations, and other creative projects. If you enjoy taking an idea and figuring out how to make it engaging, you'll have plenty of opportunities here! Help us communicate better internally. You'll partner with our Director of People & Culture and other company leaders to turn company updates into clear, useful communications for our employees. Celebrate our people. Birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, retirements, employee accomplishments, team wins; we want our employees to know that their contributions matter. You'll help us find meaningful and creative ways to recognize them and tell their stories. Bring events to life. You'll take the lead on planning designated company events, employee celebrations, recruiting events, community activities, and other company initiatives. You'll have administrative support for logistics, but you'll be the person helping pull the overall experience together. Who We're Looking For We're less interested in finding someone who checks every possible box and more interested in finding someone with the right combination of ability, initiative, and potential . You may be a great fit if you: Are a self-starter who sees something that needs to be done and gets moving. Are curious and genuinely interested in learning how a business works. Aren't afraid to put on a hard hat, walk onto a jobsite, talk with employees, and figure out what's happening. Can take an idea from "we should do something with this" to an actual finished product. Enjoy writing, storytelling, social media, photography, video, design, or some combination of them. Have good creative instincts but can also take feedback and adjust. Can juggle several projects without letting details fall through the cracks. Build relationships easily with different kinds of people, from field employees to executive leadership. Bring ideas forward instead of waiting for someone to hand you a list. Want an opportunity to learn, stretch yourself, and take on more responsibility over time. What You'll Bring We'd ideally like someone with at least 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation, public relations, event planning, or a related field. A four-year degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related area is preferred, but relevant experience matters too. Experience with tools like Canva, social media platforms, website/CMS tools, Microsoft Office, project-management programs, and AI tools will help. Basic photography and video editing skills are also valuable. Construction experience? Great, but it's not required . What matters more is that you're willing to learn it. Why This Role Is Different We're not looking for someone to simply keep things running, we’re looking for someone who wants to help us make them better! Come in curious. Learn the business. Ask questions. Get to know our people. Figure out what makes Gallagher different, and then help us find better, more creative ways to share that! You'll work closely with our Director of People & Culture and leaders across the company, giving you a front-row seat to how the business works. You'll have the freedom to bring forward ideas, try new things, build relationships across the organization, and take real ownership of your work. And we want this role to grow with you. If you're creative, motivated, willing to jump in where the action is, and looking for a place where you can learn, contribute, and make your mark, we want to meet you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
