Additionally, we take pride in offering cutting-edge AI-powered condition-based monitoring, customized controls, seamless systems integration, and advanced automation solutions.What We Are Looking For:Our team is looking to add an experienced Quality Specialist to our talented group in Evansville! The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting quality assurance initiatives throughout Operations, ensuring adherence to FLANDERS and customer quality standards, driving continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining compliance with quality management systems. This individual will serve as a key resource for quality processes, problem-solving activities, audits, and non-conformance management while partnering closely with production teams to improve product quality and operational performance.Here's What You'll Do:Perform these tasks with limited supervision:Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure adherence to customer, company, and industry standards.Communicate and train personnel on quality system procedures and documentation updates.Assist and occasionally lead structured problem-solving projects utilizing methodologies such as A3, PDCA, 8D, and 5-Step.Coach production personnel in the use of quality tools and problem-solving techniques.Support the development of process controls and measurement systems while ensuring compliance with established control plans.Maintain and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.Facilitate ISO certification activities and perform internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and processes.Lead the non-conformance process, including investigation, containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution.Maintain quality metrics related to part conformance and develop action plans for improvement.Collaborate with other FLANDERS locations to promote consistency, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Perform inspections on materials and parts as needed.Conduct internal audits in accordance with the FLANDERS Quality Management System.Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.Develop and support root cause and corrective action initiatives across Operations.Analyze quality data and recommend process improvements.Work closely with plant floor personnel to maintain quality standards and drive operational excellence.Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Here's What You'll Need:Associate degree in a technical field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving quality management systems.ISO 9001 experience required.ISO 9001 Certified Auditor certification is a plus.Knowledge of quality management principles, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO standards.Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, or similar approaches preferred.Working knowledge of metrology principles and measurement systems preferred.Understanding of control of nonconforming product processes.Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate quality data and recommend improvements.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.High attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work independently with limited direction while demonstrating initiative.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and work within a multicultural environment.Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional alternate or split shifts, when business needs require.Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions.Preferred Background:Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, electric motor repair, rotating equipment, or a similar heavy industrial environment.Experience leading corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.Hands-on experience conducting process audits and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Experience working directly with production teams to improve product quality and operational performance.
