PACU Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to manage daily operations, provide clinical leadership, and deliver hands-on care in an ambulatory surgery center. This vital role involves adjusting schedules, acting as a clinical leader in emergencies, and ensuring quality patient recovery post-anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign staff, evaluate absences, and adjust the schedule for cancellations.
• Act as the point person for emergencies, codes, or complex patient issues.
• Provide hands-on care including circulating to cover absences, starting IVs, and managing patient recovery from anesthesia.
• Support and train new staff on clinical basics.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) are required, with ACLS and PALS acceptable to be completed after hire.
• Two years of charge nurse or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care management, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.

Experience

• Minimum two years of charge nurse or supervisory experience.

Skills

• Proficient in surgical procedures and patient care management.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule: 4'10 Monday-Friday with no calls, nights, or holidays. Open to 5'8s.
