Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Profession: RN
Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10H Days
Hours per Shift: 10 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab
License: Active RN License (ND or Compact)
Certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)


Must-Have:
2 years of experience in Cath Lab
Experience in a large hospital, level 2 or higher
Comfortable with administering conscious sedation
Willingness to provide nursing care for various cardiac procedures


Description:
Provide nursing care to patients in the cath lab.
Perform cardiac catheterizations with intervention.
Assist with device implants and peripheral vascular procedures.
Care for stroke, structural heart, STEMI, and stroke patients.
Conduct nursing assessments.
Utilize computerized charting and medication systems.
Experience with equipment such as One Chart (EPIC), CUPID, GE MAC LAB, EKOS, Balloon pumps, IMPELLA, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS.
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 during procedures.
Participate in call team, including being on call every 3rd weekend.
May be the only RN on call while being part of a 4-person call team with a physician.
Scrub color is provided in Ceil Blue.
No floating to other units/departments.
