Isom Elementary is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students in grades K 5. This position works closely with the special education teacher and classroom staff to assist students with academic tasks, learning activities, and positive behavior supports.

Responsibilities include:

-Providing small group and one-on-one support to students
-Assisting with instructional activities and classroom routines
-Supporting the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction -Reinforcing positive behavior and social skills
-Preparing instructional materials and assisting with classroom organization
-Supervising and supporting students during transitions and other school activities

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Experience working with children preferred
-Ability to work collaboratively with staff and build positive relationships with students
-Strong communication skills and a patient, flexible approach

This is a 29-hour per week school-year position.
