Family First Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This full-time position involves direct patient care in an orthopedic outpatient practice, focusing on enhancing the quality of life and functional movement of our patients. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and prevent future injuries.

Our team consists of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to providing high-quality care and empowering patients on their journey to recovery.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our Norfolk, Virginia office, allowing for a collaborative and interactive working environment. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a good work-life balance while addressing the needs of our patients. The outpatient setting means you will be working with a variety of patient cases, improving your skills and experiences across different conditions and treatment modalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, goals, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize patient-centered care and effective recovery strategies.
• Provide evidence-based interventions including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and modalities while monitoring patient progress on an ongoing basis.
• Manage a focused caseload, typically ensuring one-on-one patient interactions per hour to provide undivided attention and personalized care.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, setting realistic expectations and inspiring personal commitment to their recovery.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle habits through tailored wellness and fitness programs that address individualized patient needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to seamless communication among the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily comprises individuals with orthopedic concerns, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We serve clients with private insurance, ensuring a focus on delivering tailored, quality care. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Outstanding communication skills with a focus on patient education and empowerment.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy and exercise technique implementation.
• Proficient in handling Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans and apply innovative treatment techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
