About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Location

Beckley, WV | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and/or as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient populations, including adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Work independently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift, demonstrating strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making
• Deliver care in emergency room and critical care settings as required
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Float to other areas and fulfill call requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Valid certification/licensure to practice as an RRT in West Virginia
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Comfortable working independently as the only RT on shift
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in emergency room and critical care environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to function in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
• Experience working in a critical access hospital or similar independent practice environment
