Staff Accountant

ATCO Structures And Logistics (USA) Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Corporate Office in Spring. Under the direction of the Senior Accountant, the Staff Accountant is responsible for month-end closing, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis. This position supports budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, internal controls, and sales tax compliance while ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities include ensuring accounting policies and procedures comply with IFRS and applicable corporate accounting standards, preparing journal entries and account analyses, investigating and correcting errors and account discrepancies, maintaining accurate accounting reports and supporting documentation, performing variance analysis, preparing and maintaining accurate and timely account reconciliations, preparing and submitting monthly financial reporting packages, actively participating in internal and external audits, assisting with check deposits, cash reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, project accounting, and intercompany transactions, and assisting with sales tax compliance.

Required qualifications include a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, expert level of fluency with Excel, exceptional attention to detail, proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, experience with Oracle Cloud and Smart View Reporting, a Bachelor's degree in accounting, minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, advanced Excel and analytical skills, experience in financial analysis, including variance analysis and forecasting, and experience with both Cost and Inventory accounting.
