Back Purchasing Agent Administrative Wildwood , FL Direct Hire Aug 6, 2026 Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Wildwood, FL 34785 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 100% in office Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Compensation: $65K - $80K Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and Holiday Time Off Our client, a growing and well-established construction company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated purchasing professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys building processes from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction purchasing, exceptional negotiation skills, and experience developing purchasing procedures and best practices within a growing organization. Responsibilities: Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services to support office operations and construction projects while balancing cost, quality, availability, reliability, and vendor support. Manage the full purchase order lifecycle for both office and field operations. Procure construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to meet project schedules and budgets. Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Engineers to coordinate material deliveries and maintain project timelines. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and dependable service. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier optimization. Assist in establishing and documenting purchasing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and department best practices as the purchasing function continues to grow. Resolve vendor issues, including pricing discrepancies, delivery concerns, and product quality matters. Communicate product changes, substitutions, and availability updates to internal teams, including Sales, Construction, and subcontractors. Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements. Qualifications: 3+years of purchasing experience, preferably within the construction industry. Demonstrated experience purchasing construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Experience helping build or support a newly established purchasing department, including developing processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Strong negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external vendors. #J-18808-Ljbffr JFS and Associates
