Physical Scientist
As a Physical Scientist, you will perform the following duties:
Serve as a senior scientist and facilitate the strategic alignment, development, and operational implementations to support the mission of the Office of Modeling and Development (OMD).
Lead a cross-functional team of scientists and technical professionals in applying advanced methods for multi-model integration, statistical post-processing, and uncertainty quantification to produce robust, user-centered products tailored to the needs of decision-makers.
Lead the execution of large-scale scientific and technical projects, providing oversight of scope, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
Serve as a subject matter expert to program leadership and interagency partners, contributing to the formulation of national strategies and investment priorities related to environmental modeling and decision support services.
