About the Position

Job Title: L&D RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: Temporary Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of L&D experience required; prior travel experience required. License: RN License required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required. Must-Have: AWHONN intermediate Fetal Monitoring class taken and passed; ability to handle high acuity patients. Description: The position requires a registered nurse with significant experience in labor and delivery. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the L&D specialty. Prior travel nursing experience is required. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1 to 2. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are mandatory. Completion of the AWHONN intermediate Fetal Monitoring class is required. Preference will be given to those who have completed the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class and hold EFM certification. The role involves managing high acuity patients effectively. On-call duties are required for a total of 12 hours within a 6-week scheduling period. Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic, is expected. Scrub colors will be Galaxy Blue and/or White. Cultural fit is crucial, as travelers are integrated into units and expected to function as core staff. Floating to other departments may be required, especially for travelers, based on staffing needs. All requests for time off must be provided during the application process. Hard document deadlines are enforced with no exceptions for pending documentation.
