Hourly Pay: Starting at $19.29 Event Staff Responsibilities Accepting tickets and validating wristbands for access Scanning bar‑coded tickets Checking identification Pat‑downs and checking bags, heavy cartons, and other belongings before patrons and vendors enter venues Answering questions and giving directions Monitoring entry points for proper credentials and restricting access to areas Setting up and moving equipment and supplies Traffic control and directing attendees to parking spots Advanced problem solving Retention and ejection of problem guests Monitor and protect assets and guests from harm Thorough report writing describing all incidents Event Staff Requirements Stand in one place for several hours at a time Bend over, stretch, and reach overhead and floor level repeatedly for several hours at a time Understand and follow detailed instructions Have excellent listening skills Understand and speak the English language clearly Use a 2‑way radio efficiently Use websites, e‑mail, text messaging, and social media proficiently Have a current Colorado ID Have reliable transportation Have a working mobile phone Have a positive attitude Deescalate frustrations and stressful situations on the part of patrons and vendors Provide clean black pants, a black belt, and black shoes Hourly Pay: Licensed Guards Starting at $20.00 Security Guard Responsibilities Remain in one place for several hours at a time Deescalate frustrations and stressful situations on the part of patrons and vendors Retain and ejection of problem guests Bend over, stretch, and reach overhead and floor‑level repeatedly for several hours at a time Understand and follow detailed instructions Use a 2‑way radio efficiently Use websites, e‑mail, text messaging and social media proficiently Have a current Colorado ID Have reliable transportation Have a working mobile phone Have a positive attitude Have excellent listening skills Understand, speak and write the English language clearly Meet all of the requirements and acquire a Denver Security Guard License Provide clean black pants, a black belt, and black shoes Hourly Pay: Starting at $20/hr while working as a Certified Flagger, otherwise normal event staff or licensed security pay. Flagger Duties Flaggers shall be available to stop traffic, advise the motorist of any delay, and to keep vehicles in the proper lanes along the event area. The flagger is responsible for safeguarding event goers, pedestrians, his fellow workers on the job, warning motorists of dangers ahead, and guiding them safely through the event area. Essential Functions Must have strong verbal communication skills, ability to read and write, good eye‑hand coordination, and the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events. Employees need to be able to work without direct supervision. As this job may require long periods of standing and being subjected to adverse weather conditions, it is important that the flagger is in good physical condition. It is essential that the employee has good eyesight (corrected vision if needed) and hearing. Equipment and Work Aids Position requires the use of stop/slow paddle, hard hat, reflective vest, rain gear, safety cones, safety signs, radio, and vehicle. Competencies Required to Perform Job Employees must have a valid Flagger Certification card issued in the state of Colorado and a valid driver license. Standing Requirements Constant standing throughout the shift. Position may require standing for periods greater than two hours at a time, for a total of greater than eight hours. No sitting permitted while performing flagging. Position Requirements Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. You must have a current Traffic Control Flagger card, issued in the state of Colorado. You must have a current and valid Driver’s License. You must have a reliable vehicle to provide self‑transportation to and from work sites. You must be able to provide a viable means of contacting you by telephone within thirty (30) minutes. (A cell phone is desirable.) You must be able to meet the requirements of the attached “Flagger Job Description.” You acknowledge that if hired, there is no specified length of employment and that you or Great Events of Colorado can terminate the relationship at will, with or without cause, at any time, so long as there is no violation of applicable federal or state law. Be alert at all times. Do not stand with a group where you cannot be easily seen by approaching motorists. Always stand while waiting for traffic. Use proper hand signals with the wand provided. Do not leave your post until you are properly relieved. Have an avenue of escape if approached by an errant vehicle. Have your certification card in your possession while performing flagging duties. Flagger Safety Gear Flaggers must provide their own safety gear. Flagger Dress Code Approved high‑visibility apparel, such as a retroreflective vest, shirt, or jacket (in orange, yellow, strong yellow green, or fluorescent versions of each) Class 2 (torso) vests/shirts/jackets are required for daytime exposure only. Class 3 (full body) vests/shirts/jackets and trousers are required for night‑time exposures to traffic. Sign paddle with a 5‑foot minimum staff length Fully clothed – removal of shirts is prohibited.
