CNA - Hospital/Clinic

Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate and competent support for patients across multiple age groups, ensuring their daily needs and clinical requirements are met in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient safety, hygiene, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and mobility.
• Administer basic treatments such as ice packs and heat therapies as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Collect specimens, monitor vital signs, perform fingerstick blood glucose testing, and document intake and output accurately.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to deliver timely care.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to the RN and document all care activities properly.

Qualifications:

• Successfully complete a nursing assistant course or equivalent training program.
• Obtain and maintain Certified Nursing Assistant certification, with certification required within 4 months of hire.
• Hold and sustain current Wisconsin CNA certification.
• Obtain AHA BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Preferably possess 1+ years of related healthcare experience.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in clinical tasks.
