Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. Job Description The2nd Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible forAssembly Departmentpersonnel and Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost resultswhile leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate willwork in coordination withProduct Engineers, Production Planner, and Production Managerto ensureexecutionoftasksand milestones. Responsibilities: Ensures Safety of allpersonnelandimmediately addresses any safety concern. Ensures Quality of product built andre-prioritizes work if product must be put on hold for quality department review/disposition. Achievement of Delivery and Cost goals; ensuringadherencetostandard work and manufacturing instructions. Leadscontinuous improvement efforts,includingdevelopment ofstandard work,balancing of operator loading, execution of time studiesandimplementation of5Sinitiatives. Leadsmanufacturing problemsolving efforts, investigatesprocess failures and implementscorrective actionsin support of all shifts. ImplementsLean methodologies includingpoint of use tooling, material presentation, waste eliminationand process improvements. Trains and mentors assigned personnel on EBOS, ISO procedures, manufacturing documentation and continuous improvement. Responsible for accurate time clock reporting of assigned personnel and timecard approvals. Ensures accuracy of inventory in production areas and supports weekly cycle counting of product. Interfaceswith production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, andproduct engineers. Requirements: The successful candidatemust haveaminimumof 3yearsof project, manufacturing or related engineering experience.Additionally, it is desired that the candidate has experience/educationin the following areas: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead programs /projects Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems Established project management skills with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing practices and in-depth understanding ERP/MRP planning systems Excellent verbal and presentation skills suitable for interaction with production team and with various level of management Strong skills in MS Windows - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
