This contract opportunity welcomes candidates with expertise in creating braille resources quickly and efficiently, both virtually or on-site, near North Richland Hills, TX. Your work will ensure that students stay ahead—preparing braille formats 1-2 weeks before curriculum delivery so every child has equal opportunities to learn and thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Braillist and Interpreter in educational settings
• Ability to deliver high-quality braille materials on a tight turnaround
• Strong organizational skills to stay ahead of curriculum needs
• Collaborative spirit; able to work seamlessly with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and school staff
• Efficiency in managing multiple requests and tasks
• Familiarity with tools such as Rogue Embosser, Duxbury Software, HMH for Reading/Math, and STEM programs considered a major advantage
• Comfortable working 10 hours per week, remotely if preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Translate and produce classroom curriculum and materials into braille with a rapid turnaround
• Coordinate workflow with the TVI and keep ahead of class schedules
• Utilize specialized software and embossers for high-accuracy materials
• Communicate proactively with educators and staff to anticipate student needs
• Maintain organized files and records of completed braille resources
